Confession: I suck at laundry

There's really not much to say about that except that Carl, you probably don't have any clean clothes for work, and you may have to "go commando."

*Only kidding - believe it or not, I actually can find a clean pair of underwear in there, and my husband does have clean clothes for work (at least I think he does). Still, I really do suck at laundry.

Mine looks about the same right now. I'm blaming it on a sick baby. Besides, I love your laundry room. In my real house (the one we owned) it was out in the garage which was creepy. In the rental, it is upstairs which is functional but I really want a well-designed laundry room some day.

I actually have no good reason for it to look that way except that I'm lazy and tired of doing laundry all the time. I do like my laundry room though, which is a good thing b/c I think I'll be spending my weekend in there, LOL.

The laundry room in our last house was upstairs too, which has it's pluses b/c then you don't have to haul the laundry upstairs to put it away. But then again, I'm training my kids to be baby slaves, so I'll be done with that part of it soon enough. ;)

A friend of mine had a brilliant idea - she has shelves with containers for each member of the family. She folds their clothes directly into them and doesn't keep clothes in the bedroom. I don't have a laundry room, just a precarious arrangement with a dryer perched on top of an antique washing machine in a 400 year old farmhouse. When are they going to invent spray-on clothing?

I think the plastic container idea is an excellent one - why didn't I think of that? Thanks for sharing!
